SINOSSI
Maggie, una quarantenne che ha vissuto con un marito manesco. La sua vita è sempre stata una lotta fra miseria e brutture. Ha dunque un carattere violento ma a modo suo vuole un gran bene ai quattro figli. Li ha avuti da quattro uomini diversi e li mantiene cantando nei pub. Per andare a lavorare è però costretta a chiuderli a chiave in casa e una sera c'è un incendio. Vengono salvati per miracolo, ma Maggie perde la tutela.
