Per il povero nonno Alcide una festa a sorpresa organizzata dai suoi numerosi parenti si tramuta in un colpo troppo forte per il suo povero cuore, provocandogli un infarto. Il caro estinto risulta essere un risparmiatore incallito e la lettura del testamento sbalordisce i due figli, Alfredo e Nunzio, che all'improvviso si ritrovano a dover gestire una somma importante e inaspettata tenuta per anni nascosta in una banca di Diamante.
