Unica sopravvissuta a un'apocalisse nucleare durata diversi anni, Eva ha trovato rifugio in una base di vita situata su un altopiano desertico. Come unico compagno, la ragazza ha il robot assegnato alla sua difesa e al controllo del perimetro dell'abitazione. Un giorno, dopo essere rientrata prima da un'esplorazione, si ritrova bloccata fuori dalla base e il robot sembra non riconoscerla più e adotta nei suoi confronti un atteggiamento ostile.
