Chobin, il principe stellare racconta le vicende del principe delle stelle Chobin, arrivato sulla Terra a bordo di un’astronave. Chobin ha un aspetto buffo (assomiglia a una melanzana con il ciuffo), non cammina ma saltella, ed è arrivato sulla Terra per cercare di salvare la madre da un alieno malvagio Bruga, che si fa aiutare da un esercito di pipistrelli monocoli per sconfiggere Chobin. Il principe però ha molti amici e sostenitori che lo aiuteranno nella sua battaglia: il giovane Rori e il nonno, molti animali della foresta tra cui l’orso Kumandon, la rana Accavè e la farfalla Kyrashon, che si innamora del piccolo e buffo alieno.
