Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) dopo un atterraggio di fortuna su Fiorina 161 si ritrova ad essere l’unico superstite dell’equipaggio. Il tetro pianeta è interamente gestito da ex detenuti di un carcere di massima sicurezza. Ripley scopre che l’Alieno è ancora presente a bordo della navetta di salvataggio e in un pianeta privo di armi e di astronavi sia la lotta che la fuga sono percluse.
