Road (Feat. Noel Redding)

Road is the only studio album by American hard rock band Road. Released in 1972, and split up at the same year. The song "My Friends" was originally recorded by bassist Noel Redding's previous band, Fat Mattress, but went unreleased at the time, making the Road version the first published recording of the song. The band started out in March 1972 with the help of former Jimi Hendrix Experience bassist Noel Redding, in the aftermath of a debilitating fall at Frank Zappas home, this short-lived power trio also featured former Rare Earth guitarist Rod Richards and Reddings Fat Mattress bandmate Leslie Sampson on drums.
