Un’astronave parte dalla Terra diretta verso Marte ma a un certo punto si ritrova con il motore in avaria. Alla deriva nello spazio, sfonda la barriera del tempo e finisce sulla terra del futuro, nel 2058. Gli astronauti devono difendersi dagli abitanti, che terribili radiazioni hanno trasformato in mostri. La Terra si presenta infatti come un medioevo prossimo venturo, sconvolto dalla guerra atomica.
