2008 release, an ambitious project with the aim of weaving a structure of harmonies in a style that reveres the greatest Jazz authors of all times. It is very evident in the Quintet project that a huge work had been carried out to compose, arrange and perform a list of articulate yet homogeneous compositions. The route of this album goes naturally in the direction of certain determined styles: hard and post-bop; Nu Cool Jazz, should anyone find necessary labeling the ambience proposed by the quintet. Of course the passion and the admiration towards the idols of the past is where Quintetto lo Greco finds the drive to produce new, original music of a wide spectrum. In front of great authors such as Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, ever since considered the maestros; the giants of research at the borderline of Jazz music, the Lo Greco brothers bow down on a mission to perpetrate their legacy; on a path that is so rich stylistically and beforehand, artistically.
