Francesco e Paolo Palumbo vivono con la madre, Elena, in una fattoria che essi stessi mandano avanti. Il loro terreno però serve, per una speculazione edilizia, a Roberto De Micheli che è disposto a tutto pur di diventarne proprietario. Infatti dopo aver proibito alla figlia Angela di incontrarsi con Paolo di cui è innamorata, non esita a fare uccidere Paolo stesso che nel frattempo si è arruolato nei carabinieri.
