The Cold Spell

Second album by the Italian Duo born in 2012 around T. (bass and vocals) and M. (guitar and synth). The two are united by a common passion for dark music in its various forms, spanning from old school goth in the likes of THE CURE to the legendary sound of COCTEAU TWINS - yes, even to dark ambient in some ways with a slight influence from electro-wave. 4 years after their debut Beyond the Lights, the all new album The Cold Spell has just reached our warehouse. The coldness and gloomy darkwave of the first album is still there, but the sound appears slightly lightened up - still calm and mid-tempo oriented but someway with a 'poppier edge'. The lyrics on this new album deal with the desire to escape from this our modern life, in which dominate social inequalities. The band expresses a strong longing to move towards a more melancholic point of view, just like someone watching a world that doesn't exist anymore and recalling how beautiful it has been before its destruction. Put on your wool sweater, the cold is here again!
