Daniel X. Belasco from Canada, formerly known as a member of a great and fun band DEFENCE MECHANISM, presents the debut by his retro-electro-pop project GLASS APPLE BONZAI. This album - originally a digital only release - caught the attention of the audience last year, and even entered quite a few "Best Album 2014" polls of various websites. Here now the first official CD edition of this hot debut, including a bonus-section with 4 exclusive tracks and remixes! GLASS APPLE BONZAIs sound is 100% pure retro/electro-pop in authentic 80s style and strongly influenced by the earlier works of DEPECHE MODE, OMD, THE HUMANLEAGUE, ALPHAVILLE, VISAGE, CAMOUFLAGE, etc. But dont expect a blind copycat imitation: GAP instead offer their very own, elegant re-styling of that typical 80s feeling and this their debut stands out as a unique tribute to "the glorious golden eighties" - clearly written and recorded with a lot of love for the detail(s) and under strict adherence to the best traditions of the genre. In 2015 GLASS APPLE BONZAI will take part in the main North American industrial-festival Kinetik, almost ready to release a second album - an impressive start for this project indeed!
