Quando Axel, un delinquente senza senza scrupoli, ruba la valigia a Bob, un programmatore di software, non sospetta di essere entrato in un grande intrigo internazionale. La valigia contiene infatti i file di un sofisticato programma che Bob ha rubato alla societa' per cui lavora. Ora il file sono nelle mani di Axel ma e' Bob il solo a poterli codificare e a sapere a chi venderli. I due diventano partners d'affari in un pericoloso viaggio verso Los Angeles.
