doug bennet e steve forrest sono rimasti grandi amici, anche quando steve deluso dal sistema ha lasciato l'fbi e le loro storie professionali si sono divise. ma a riunirle ci pensera' garret, un pericoloso ex galeotto al cui caso i due sbirri avevano lavorato insieme nove anni prima. garret e' determinato a recuperare il bottino della rapina per cui era stato incriminato, e i due decidono di collaborare per incastrarlo definitivamente. ma le cose si complicano quando garrett viene ucciso ed il nome di un importante uomo d'affari si affaccia nella gia' intricata vicenda.
