The M36 based its offensive capability on the powerful M3 90mm gun, higher than the 76mm adopted on the previous M10 with which it shared its hull. The M36B1 was developed to optimize the production capacity of the American industry of the Sherman M4A3 hulls available in large numbers. The turret was open, as in all American tank destroyers, to ensure greater visibility in combat. The effectiveness of the M36B1 is proven by its operational longevity. After the Second World War it was employed by numerous armies and also actively participated in various conflicts. For collectors over the age of 14.
