Assembled model length 43.7 cm - Box size: 22 x 11 x 11.5 cm. The Dassault Mirage III is a landmark of French aviation production. Manufactured from the early 1960s to equip the units of the Armée de l'Air immediately proved extremely effective. It soon became a commercial success and was exported to numerous countries participating in several contracts during the 1970s and 1980s. Characterized by the unmistakable delta wing, it was able, thanks to its Snecma Atar engine with afterburner, to exceed the speed of Mach 2. The Mirage IIIC, in particular, was configured to play the role of multirole single-seater interceptor fighter. Armed with two 30mm DEFA guns it could employ a wide variety of offensive cargo consisting of infrared air-to-air missiles, such as AIM-9 Sidewinder or Matra Magic, and radar-guided missiles.
