The F-15 Eagle was set up during the 1970s to equip the U.S. Air Force flight departments with an advanced, high-performance fighter. From its aerodynamic cell the all-time F-15E Strike Eagle two-seater fighter-bomber was developed. Designed for ground attack, bombing and interdiction missions, it entered service in the USAF in the late 1980s. It retains the features of the original F-15 project such as the two tail drifts and the robust mid-wing while adopting the tandem two-seater cabin that can accommodate the Weapons System Officer for route management, target tracking, and the use of electronic countermeasures. It was employed in numerous operational activities beginning with the Desert Shield and Desert Storm campaigns in the early 1990s. For collectors over the age of 14
