PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Production of Italian tanks during World War II focused on the "M" versions. The M-13/40 was the most famous and widely used tank of the Regio Esercito. Equipped with a 47 mm cannon, it was characterised by the original structure of the chains and suspensions as well as the protection by the characteristic "screw". The M-40 self-propelled gun has also been developed on its chassis. Armed with a 75mm howitzer installed in a casemate, he was feared by enemy tanks. The best results were obtained when the M-13/40 were used in combination with self-propelled guns that could balance the limited firepower of the tank. In the course of the war, both the tanks and the self-propelled guns were improved by technical solutions and armament.
