The attractive design, noteworthy performance and a good value for money were the main success factors on the market. From the road version came the legendary Lancia Fulvia HF, equipped with a longitudinal front engine with four-cylinder V-shaped 1584 cc, which became a true icon of the rally competitions of the period. The most famous version, excellent synthesis of elegance and sportiness, was the 1.6 HF "Fanalone", characterized by the large front lights. The Fulvia HF achieved major rally successes around the world which culminated in winning the International Manufacturers Championship in 1972.
