PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera RSR was built in four copies in 1974 to participate in the racing season of the World Sports Car Championship. Thus, the factory could compete with one, sometimes with two cars in the colours of the Martini Racing Team and use the official teams Muller - van Lennep and Koinigg - Schurti. Although they have almost the same performance (approx. 500 hp) as the vehicles of their rivals had, Porsche vehicles were neither as light nor as manoeuvrable as the latter that competed in the prototype category. However, a happy combination of speed and reliability allowed them to achieve respectable results in the nine races in the race calendar, including two second places: one at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and one at the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen.
