Item name: 1:48 F-86E Sabre model length: 23.8 cm super sticker. The bright fighter plane Sabre F-86 was developed by the North American aircraft company in the late 1940s and became a symbol of post-war aviation. The fighter plane is characterised by the typical arrow wings, the large front air intake and the use of the General-Electric J47 jet engine. Its flight speed and performance were optimal for the time and did significantly different from those of the fighter planes with the traditional piston engine. It was armed with 6 Browning M3 machine guns of calibre 12.7 mm installed in the bug. It was developed by the U.S.A.F. widely used and actively participated in the Korean War, where it was directly faced with the Soviet fighter aircraft Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-15 and started the first "dog fights" between jet aircraft in the history of aviation industry. The F-86 proved to be extremely efficient and many pilots were characterised by shooting numerous enemy aircraft and obtaining the qualification as "Ace".
