The Messerschmitt Bf 109 monoplane fighter is, without a doubt, one of the most famous fighter aircraft of World War II and can be considered one of the symbols of the Luftwaffe. In the course of the conflict it has been regularly improved in engines and armaments to try to still be able to stand up against more modern aircraft with higher flight performance. Together with the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, it was the backbone of the Luftwaffe hunting grounds. The Bf 109 flew the most celebrated German aces and scored a significant number of aerial victories. Among all we can recall the pilots of the famous JG 52 and the ace with the highest number of downings of World War II: Erich Hartmann. For collectors over the age of 14.
