The 1:72 stand model is a resensation of the F-4E/F Phantom II hunting bomber, which was designed by the American company McDonnell Douglas and has been serving since the 1960s. It is one of the most famous aircraft in the history of military aviation. Originally designed for the US Navy, it was also widely used by the US Air Force and had major commercial success worldwide. Developed in detail for the US Air Force, the "E" version of the Phantom II is characterised by an M61 vulcan cannon, which are equipped for interception missions with the AIM-9 Sidewinder and AIM-7 as well as Sparrow air rockets. With the two powerful J-79 motors from General Electric, the Phantom II was able to speed 1,240 knots (approx. 2,300 km/h).
