Stürmisch und ruhig zugleich, organisch und mechanisch – der Bassist und Komponist Ulysse Loup präsentiert sein neues Album: 0°W.
Das zehnköpfige Ensemble vertont das Gedicht "Das trunkene Schiff (Le Bateau ivre)" von Arthur Rimbaud. Das Album folgt der Spur einer traumgleichen, transatlantischen Segelreise, in der sich surrealistische Poesie mit zeitgenössischem Jazz verbindet. Verschlungene Rhythmen und vom Meer inspirierte Klangtexturen tragen die Hörer*innen durch Gischt und Sehnsucht nach dem Anderswo.
Nach drei Atlantiküberquerungen unter Segeln verwebt der Komponist seine salzgetränkten Erinnerungen mit Rimbauds Versen.
