Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay star in this coming-of-age comedy written and directed by Paul Brickman. Model high-school student Joel (Cruise), the son of wealthy parents, hopes to secure admission to Princeton. When his parents go on holiday, his friend Miles (Curtis Armstrong) convinces him to enjoy his newfound freedom and finally have some fun. What starts out as drinking and dancing escalates when Joel meets Lana (De Mornay), a prostitute. Soon Joel's father's Porsche is at the bottom of Lake Michigan and Lana's pimp Guido (Joe Pantoliano) is causing trouble. Their solution is to turn the house into a brothel for one night only, which is when the Princeton recruiter arrives.
