When is the solo project of Lars Pedersen - Pedersen started in 1983 under the name Hospital Blimp, but eventually changed the name to When - The rich catalog covers a wide range of genres such as psychedelia, avant-garde, experimental, 60's pop, electronic music, contemporary music, classical music and noise collages. Pedersen plays most of the instruments himself and composes all the music. Trippy Happy is one of the more pop-oriented albums in the When catalog, that brings mind to the more psychedelic works of The Beach Boys, The Beatles and Pink Floyd with its distinctive mix of cut-ups, psychedelia, eastern influences but always with a strong melodic element involved.
