The new album of the cult band Hearthill, which returned to the stage in 2019, surprises and takes you away. The unique mix of country, swing, rockabilly and pop, sounds today even more fresh than in the bands heydays in the 1990s. Hearthill updates its repertoire and the entire roots genre fresh for the 2020s. J's soulful vocals, Ufo's stylish violin and Samuli's skillful guitar playing do not leave you cold, and the rhythm group nails it in a master class. The songs are a collaboration between J and Samul, the band's dynamic duo. And texts from J's pen mixes autobiography and surrealism. There has been demand for Hearthill's unique and rootsy sound. Here at last is a real band that knows how to play and perform, both in small clubs and on festival stages.
