After 14 years, Omega's new line-up is finally here! The 58 (!) Year old band produced their 17th studio album, which is a kind of summary of the work of previous decades. Omega has always considered development and construction important, so the Testament can be considered the next step without exaggeration. This was preceded by the band’s classical music transcripts, Symphony, Rhapsody, and Oratorio, whose influences blend with the band’s progressive and space rock moods, fooling me with a musical world like Hans Zimmer’s theatrical soundtracks or just Rammstein’s harassment. A mixture of these is the Testament, which, according to lead singer Janos Kobor, is “a kind of total rock, perhaps reminiscent of the more popular materials of the Dream Theater”. The 18-item material also included some reinterpretations among the brand new compositions.
