Het TransEuropeExpress Ensemble is een jazz-octet bestaande uit uitstekende Franse en Duitse musici, onder leiding van de Duitse pianist-componist Hans L³demann. De eerste halte van hun langetermijnproject "On The Edges" is dit album, dat opwindende muziek creÙert uit de ontmoeting van gnawatradities met Europese jazz. Een centrale rol is weggelegd voor de wereldberoemde Marokkaanse muzikant en zanger Majid Bekkas.
