Componist Gyorgy Kurtag en zijn vrouw zijn beiden pianist en hebben volgens de Guardian one of the most intense musical relationships of our time. Er zijn steeds minder mensen die de Kurtags live op het podium gezien hebben en daarom zijn deze Hongaarse radio-opnames, (1955-2001) zo speciaal.
