Végh Conducts Schubert

De muziek van Schubert heeft altijd een speciale rol gespeeld in het leven van Vegh. Hij speelde graag diens kamermuziek, inclusief strijkkwartetten, en soms - met Pablo Casals - pianotrios. Toen hij zelf vanwege lichamelijke problemen geen viool meer kon spelen, dirigeerde hij het Camerata Academica (dat nu Camerata Salzburg heet) tot aan zijn dood in 1997. Op deze cd staan Schuberts eerste 4 symfonieÙn, die tot nu toe nog niet beschikbaar waren in Veghs interpretatie. Zij zijn opgenomen in Keulen in 1996 en nooit eerder op cd verschenen.
