August 1, 2020 Warszawskie Combo Taneczne celebrated its 10th birthday. On this occasion, in the middle of last year, the band recorded material for its fourth long play. For the first time in Combo's career, there was cooperation with the friendly Kapela Zdzisława Kwapińskiego from Zwoleń and Radom. A few years ago, Młynarski and Kwapiński met on one of the episodes of the documentary series "Szlakiem Kolberga" and since then their artistic and private friendship has been ongoing. For years, Zdzisław Kwapiński has been one of the most dynamic animators of the musical culture of his region. He is a violinist, saxophonist, singer and dancer, as well as an expert in the folklore of the Radom region. The album entitled "Skarałaś mnie Boże" is a musical meeting of the traditions of the city and the countryside. The two bands shared their knowledge and repertoire and found common elements for traditional rural music from Radom and Warsaw folklore. So here we are dealing with tangos, mazurs, polkas and obereks. Jan Młynarski also makes his debut as a lyricist, creating contemporary "Kuplety Warszawskie 2020" and "Oberek Mokotowski" to old, forgotten melodies. From the meeting of two worlds, a 12-person orchestra was created, obtaining a unique sound that eludes metrics and geography, as well as the reflection that much more unites us than divides us.
