COBI-2661 Light Tank 7 TP HISTORY COLLECTION WWII 669 pieces 1 figure Age group 9+ Scale 1:28 The 1:28 scale Light Tank 7TP set – the hero of September 1939 in a brick version from COBI! Ready for a unique journey through the history of armored vehicles? It's time to take your collection of brick models to the next level! With the 7TP set from COBI, you will build a testament to courage, history, and technical passion, as well as one of the rarest examples the Polish Army Museum can boast! 7TP – Poland's response to the challenges of war The 7TP light tank was the most valuable armored vehicle of the Polish Army during the September Campaign of 1939. It was an expression of the ambition of the young state, which created a modern design based on the British Vickers tank. The machine was equipped with a diesel engine, a rotating periscope, and a Gundlach, giving the crew a better field of view, a 37 mm Bofors wz. 37 gun, and a 7.92 mm wz. 30 machine gun. This allowed the 7TP tank to effectively fight both the German Panzer I and the more advanced Panzer II. In terms of armor, the 7TP was second only to the newer German medium tanks: the PzKpfw III E and the PzKpfw IV B-C. However, it is worth noting that these vehicles were significantly heavier (weighing up to 20 tons) and in 1939 constituted only a small part of the German armored forces. 7TP Camouflage – Polish Battlefield Colors From 1936, 7TP tanks were painted in the standard camouflage of Polish military vehicles. It consisted of irregular, elongated patches of sand-gray, dark brown, and olive green. The patches were mostly horizontal, applied by spraying with gentle gradient color transitions. Brave to the last bullet! Despite Poland's swift defeat in September 1939, the 7TP managed to demonstrate its combat qualities. The excellent training of its crews played a key role. The actions of the 2nd Battalion near Piotrków Trybunalski on September 4–5 were particularly noteworthy. In an encounter with tanks of the German 1st and 4th Panzer Divisions, the battalion destroyed at least a dozen enemy combat vehicles, not to mention other equipment. The only example in Poland – recreated with passion! To this day, no complete original 7TP tank remains in Poland. The Polish Army Museum in Warsaw exhibits only fragments of the turret and chassis. In 2006, a group of military history enthusiasts from the Polish Military Foundation in Bielsko-Biała began reconstructing the 7TP based on preserved plans and original parts. The complete reconstruction was completed in 2011, and in December 2017, the tank was rebuilt. Purchased by the Polish Army Museum for just under 2 million PLN. It was this reconstructed machine that served as the model for the COBI brick model! What makes the Light Tank 7TP set unique: 1:28 scale – Allows for a realistic appearance combined with a compact size – perfect for a shelf, diorama, or display case. Museum exhibit – The set was created in cooperation with the Polish Army Museum at the Warsaw Citadel, where the reconstructed tank is currently located. 669 construction bricks – The set consists of precisely designed and manufactured elements. The bricks are durable, abrasion-resistant, and ensure a solid structure. Their exceptional fit guarantees a satisfying build – for both beginners and experienced modelers. Figure of the most famous tank commander – The set includes a figure of Polish General Stanisław Maczek in a replicated overcoat and beret. The general himself in September 1939 didn't drive the 7TP tank, but with this figure, we wanted to commemorate the most outstanding Polish armored commander, a role he held both in September 1939 and throughout the rest of World War II. The figure holds binoculars and a VIS pistol. High-quality, durable prints – All markings and graphic details were applied using permanent printing technology – no stickers required! The prints are abrasion-resistant and perfectly capture the details of the authentic vehicle. Movable elements and tracked traction – The turret rotates fully, and the gun can be raised and lowered, allowing for a realistic depiction of the tank in various combat positions. Functional tracked traction allows the model to move smoothly on various surfaces. The engine can be removed and displayed next to the tank. Easy construction – Thanks to the intuitive, step-by-step instructions, building the model is a pure pleasure – for both beginner and more experienced builders. Collector's plaque – The model comes with a white plaque with the set name and scale will surely enhance the model's presentation on a shelf or in a display case. Toy and decoration in one - After playtime, this realistic model will become a great room decoration, sure to catch the eye of any history fan. Wide selection - Check out other vehicles from the HISTORICAL COLLECTION series and build your own collection of historical vehicles! Building the Light Tank 7TP set is great fun and a fascinating adventure! Whether you're a history buff, a model collector, or simply enjoy building with blocks, the 7TP tank model is a real treat that will make a wonderful addition to your collection. Play, display, and… build history, piece by piece! • 669 high-quality elements • Manufactured in the EU by a company with over 35 years of tradition • The blocks meet the safety standards of products for children • Fully compatible with other brands of construction blocks • Blocks with prints do not scratch or smear and do not fade during play or under the influence of temperature • 100% prints, no stickers • Clear and intuitive instructions based on illustrations and step-by-step directions • 1 figure • Scale 1:28 Model dimensions (L x W x H): 16.5 x 9 x 8.5 cm
