The Ninth Gate

Bookseller Dean Corso (Johnny Depp) is tasked by collector Boris Balkan (Frank Langella) to try to determine the authenticity of a valuable book. The book is believed to have been written by the fictional Torchia in the 17th century. Legend has it that Torchia has made a pact with the devil himself. In his work for Mr. Balkan, Dean finds more and more creepy details.
