Pigen Med Nålen (The Girl With the Needle)

Young factory worker Karoline struggles to survive in Copenhagen in the aftermath of World War I. Unemployed, abandoned and pregnant, she meets the charismatic woman Dagmar, who runs a secret adoption agency where she helps mothers find foster families for their unwanted children. With nowhere else to go, Karoline moves into Dagmar's home to nurse her. A strong connection develops between the two women in an otherwise harsh and cruel world, but Karoline soon discovers a shocking truth.
