Eva (Sidse Babett Knudsen; "Fortress of Power", "Westworld", "Inferno") is a maternal and idealistic prison guard working in a male-dominated and cold Danish prison. When she identifies a new prisoner, Eva finds herself caught in the crossfire of justice and revenge.

Gustav Möller's second feature-length film "Vogter" explores normality, morality and power and the blurred boundaries between them, which build between us like prison cell bars. The structural problems that sustain the dominance of the legal system are mirrored in the personal failures of the film's protagonist. The stark and raw audiovisual narrative, combined with sharp acting and a haunting plot, create a claustrophobic but addictive atmosphere, captivating the viewer from start to finish.
