Mama's Blues Joint: Mama's Blues Joint was formed in 2002 by the soulful singer/composer Lene Strøyer and the band has been playing at festivals & Clubs in Scandinavia since then. Lene Strøyer is described as an extra ordinary singer with a deep feeling for the blues and together with the fantastic band she delivers a great live performance. Mama's Blues Joint's debut CD from 2005 has been air played at radios all over the world. (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, England, Poland, Holland, USA, Australia, Argentina etc.) The song "Missing you" from that album has won several fine achievements in international songwriter contests both in USA and Australia. The title of Mama's Blues Joint's new album "Blues In Many Colors" (March 2009), perfectly define that it's not traditional blues the band is playing. Blues with a touch of soul, funk, rock and country and always with a love for a good lyric and a good groove. Lene Strøyer is the main songwriter while each musician brings their own unique perspective to the songs. Besides own material, Mama's Blues Joint also plays arrangements of songs from great blues artists as B.B King, Etta James, Delbert Mc.Clinton. The musicians in Mama's Blues Joint are all well known at the Danish music scene and have been playing and touring with a large numbers of artist in and out of Denmark.
