Lodovico Viadana: Sacri Concentus

Die 1614 veröffentlichte Sammlung Sacri Concentus von Lodovico Grossi da Viadana (1560-1627) ist ein wahrhaft monumentaler Beitrag zum Repertoire der Motette mit Basso continuo. Es erstaunt daher, dass diese Sammlung bisher kaum beachtet wurde. Das Viadana Collective stellt die in Vergessenheit geratenen Motetten vor und offenbart uns deren Schönheit mittels klanglich vielfältigen und reich verzierten Interpretationen, die besonders von der großartigen Akustik der Basilica Palatina di Santa Barbara und der exzellenten Antegnati-Orgel aus dem 16. Jahrhundert profitieren.
