They say that revenge is a dish best served cold, but the devious Alexandria Newmar (Holly Perkins) takes the art to chilly new highs in SIMPLE REVENGE. Turned down for a high-paying job, Alex sets about her task by sleeping with her boss's husband, and then revealing what she's done to the local townsfolk. But detectives Kate Kincaid (Melissa Picarello) and Ed Morrow (Frank Avoletta) smell a rat, and decide to open an investigation into Alex's activities. Unwilling to throw in the towel, Alex sets about discrediting the snooping duo by attempting more framing--this time accusing Ed of murder, and Kate of rape. As the events spiral out of control, director Brian Averill piles on the tension, and draws the film to a surprising conclusion as the two detectives and Alex find themselves at loggerheads with one another.
