In een Deens moerasgebied worden in een geheim onderkomen zes mensen vermoord. Alleen de jonge Syrische Malu weet te ontsnappen. Onder de slachtoffers zijn twee Belgische zussen die contact hadden met een extremistische militie. De belangrijkste verdachte is Bob, de Duitse eigenaar van het pension. Europol stelt een internationaal onderzoeksteam samen dat bestaat uit de Deense rechercheur Nelly Winther, de Hamburgse commissaris Gregor Weiss en de Belgische terreurexpert Paula Liekens. De eerste sporen wijzen naar een aanslag van rechtsextremisten. Draait de zaak inderdaad om vreemdelingenhaat?
