Nach der Neuauflage ihrer ersten vier Alben Anfang des Jahres, veröffentlichen Spiritualized ihr langersehntes, neuntes Studioalbum 'Everything Was Beautiful'!

'Everything Was Beautiful' wurde in elf verschiedenen Studios aufgenommen, wobei J Spaceman alias Jason Pierce selber insgesamt 16 verschiedene Instrumente einspielte und sich zudem Unterstützung von diversen Streicher- und Bläsergruppen, Chören, befreundeten Acts wie John Coxon oder auch seiner Tochter Poppy einholte - sodass schlussendlich mehr als 30 Personen am finalen Album beteiligt waren. Das Ergebnis ist eine der am meisten 'live' klingenden Aufnahmen, die Spiritualized seit dem Live At The Royal Albert Hall-Album von 1998 veröffentlicht haben, mit einem Sound der sich von Free Jazz, mit kreischendes Saxophonen und Klarinetten, über improvisierte chaotische Shoegazing-Wellen bis hin zu brodelndem Rock 'n' Roll und verträumten Ambientklängen erstreckt.
