The Shape of Night

Noboru Nakamura directs this Japanese drama starring Miyuki Kuwano and Mikijirô Hira. Yoshie Nomoto (Kuwano), a naive young country girl, is lured into the dark side of city nightlife when she falls for Eiji Kitami (Hira), a mysterious man who frequents the bar she works in. As the two begin an intense affair, Eiji begins to make increasingly sinister demands of Yoshie, but how far is she willing to go for him? The cast also includes Keisuke Sonoi, Masuyo Iwamoto and Misako Tominaga.
