A nun’s disturbing behaviour sparks rumours of demonic possession at a remote convent. When a priest-in-waiting and his disillusioned mentor are sent to investigate, their methods backfire, leaving a wake of terror and trauma. The young Sister Agnes explodes with an outburst of rage and blasphemy, causing the church to send veteran priest Father Donaghue and a younger priest-on-the-rise, Benjamin, to investigate the incident as a potential demonic possession. A clever Horror that about halfway through makes a sharp left turn and becomes a compelling character study about how an innocent young woman must contend with a trauma she can't explain.
