The Autumn Stone (Autumn Single)

PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED VERSION EXCLUSIVELY FOR RECORD STORE DAY A previously unreleased version of one of the Small Faces last recorded songs is to be made available exclusively for Record Store Day 2016. In preparing the definitive expanded remaster of 'The Autumn Stone' album, a tape was discovered containing the unissued mono single mix. Pressed on "Autumn Gold" vinyl and strictly limited to 3,000 copies worldwide, the single is issued under the unused original Immediate catalogue number IM083 with 'Me You And Us Too', an early version of 'Wham Bam Thank You Mam' (the original intended B-side). A full colour picture sleeve reproduces Gered Mankowitz's original artwork and photos. Originally planned as a single in 1968, the mono mix of Steve Marriott's 'The Autumn Stone' was never released due to Immediate label boss Andrew Loog Oldham's dislike of the song (the title of which he later used for the final Small Faces album!).
