Holy Smoke

He had only one thing on his mind. but so did she! The dream teaming of Hollywood A-listers Kate Winslet and Harvey Keitel take centre stage in this very human drama from Jane Campion (The Piano), which examines not only the human condition but life itself. Ruth Barron (Winslet) is on a journey to find herself, but her parents fear she's fallen in with a cult. They hire P.J. Waters (Keitel) a professional "de-programmer" to help bring her back. But this seemingly easy assignment becomes the most difficult he's encountered. With a sharp, satirical and sassy script, the movie is an intellectual battle of the sexes and becomes increasingly unpredictable towards the (quite literal) climax. Quirky and at times steamy, Holy Smoke contains intense performances from a cast at the height of their acting powers.
