Akilla's Escape

Saul Williams stars in this crime drama directed by Charles Officer. Toronto drug dealer Akilla (Williams) decides to give up his life of crime following the legalisation of marijuana. However, when one of his deals is intercepted by a gang of youths Akilla finds himself torn between appeasing his vengeful employers and saving 15-year-old Sheppard (Thamela Mpumlwana) from a life of crime.
