Double bill of British crime thrillers. In 'This Was a Woman' (1948) housewife Sylvia Russell (Sonia Dresdel), oppressed by the nature of her seemingly perfect suburban life, takes on a murderous new persona that threatens her entire family. In 'The Living Idol' (1957) an archaeologist discovers a captive jaguar, and begins to suspect that the animal may be a Mayan god in disguise.
