Murdoch Mysteries is set at the turn of the 20th century and revolves around Detective William Murdoch of the Toronto constabulary, who uses ground-breaking forensic techniques to close his cases. The series stars Yannick Bisson, Thomas Craig, Helene Joy, Jonny Harris, Lachlan Murdoch and Daniel Maslany.

In the opening episode of the show’s twelfth season, titled Murdoch Mystery Mansion, after being designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Murdoch and Ogden’s house is rocked by an explosion that claims a man’s life. Guest starring Downton Abbey’s Sophie McShera.
