British supernatural horror. In 17th-century England, Persephone (Hannah Arterton) is accused of witchcraft and sentenced to death, but is saved from the gallows and taken in by a convent, presided over by the authoritarian Reverend Mother (Clare Higgins), who offers Persephone a chance at redemption.
