Charlie Chaplin's Tramp finds refuge from the law with the circus and falls in love with the owner's step-daughter. Some of the most famous sequences include chases through a hall of mirrors, and Chaplin trapped in a lion's cage and running along a tightrope with his trousers falling down. This film won a Special Academy Award for Chaplin.
