American horror based on the novel by Ryû Murakami in which a husband and father with murderous urges sets out to lay his desires to rest. Under the pretence of a business trip, Reed (Christopher Abbott) checks into a hotel and hires a female escort with the intention of stabbing her to death. His best laid plans are not easy to exact, however, and soon Reed ends up in a battle with his tormented mind and reality. The cast also includes Mia Wasikowska and Laia Costa.
